Griffon Hoverwork was joined by The Indian Coastguard and Naval Adviser Commodore Sandeep Beecha, for the inspection of the final 8000TD hovercraft prior to delivery to India. This marks the end of a £32million contract spanning three years.
The Indian Coast Guard project began in 2011 adding a further twelve hovercraft to their existing fleet of 8000TD medium lift craft.
The last hovercraft was completed and ready for shipment five months ahead of contract schedule, continuing 100% on time delivery performance for the contract as a whole.
The Indian Coastguard went aboard the hovercraft for a sea demonstration, before giving a presentation to the Griffon team involved in the project.
