The Lithuania Coast Guard requested the services of 'Train the Trainer' training for their 2000TD hovercraft. From 16-20th June 2014 Griffon Hoverwork carried out the training to train one Lithuanian Border Guard pilot to an Instructor level of competence on the 2000TD hovercraft.
Griffon Hoverwork's Chief Pilot Robert Trussler conducted the advanced training at Kopgalis Cordon at the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, the training was conducted with one student instructor and one student pilot through practical and technical assessments.
The aim of the Pilot Instructor package was to assess and train a selected Lithuanian Border Guard pilot to the level of pilot competancy and instructional technique required of a Griffon Hoverwork accredited Pilot Instructor for the 2000TD.

Training was funded by the European Union (EU) External Borders Fund 2012 Annual Programme under the project No ISF 12/3.4.1.-1.5 "State Border Guard Service personnel training". This training allowed the implementation of a robust programme, offsetting possible costs associated with poor pilot practises, accidents and damage.
