Griffon Hoverwork were delighted to welcome Rt Hon Greg Hands MP, Minister of State for Trade Policy, Royston Smith MP for Southampton Itchen Constituency and officials from the Department for International Trade to their HQ in Southampton.
The visit involved a sea demonstration in Griffon's new 995ED
hovercraft, showcasing the innovative technology behind the new
diesel electric hovercraft. As part of the HM Government's Export
is Great campaign, Rt Hon Greg Hands MP visited Griffon Hoverwork
a UK manufacturing company who successfully export their products worldwide and continue to work on high value opportunities overseas.
International Trade Minister, Greg Hands commented:
"The hovercraft is a great British invention, and Griffon is a great British engineering company with new products ready for the export market as well as new designs in development to meet changing global requirements.
"The Department for International Trade is committed to supporting fantastic UK companies like Griffon Hoverwork to break into new markets across the world."
Royston Smith MP was interested to find out how Griffon's
business, including its own skilled workforce and their supply
chain, is working with schools, colleges, universities, the LEP and
Business South to generate high skilled apprenticeships and jobs in
the Southern Export
Engine and within his constituency.
