The management of Griffon HoverWork Ltd has been involved in the design, development, manufacture and operation of amphibious hovercraft for over 40 years.

Griffon Hoverwork Ltd has pioneered the development of the hovercraft and has been involved in the manufacture and operation of hovercraft since they were first conceived over 40 years ago.  The World's first hovercraft operation was set up by the founders of the business, alongside Sir Christopher Cockerell, the inventor of the hovercraft.  We are the design authority for the original and subsequent British Hovercraft Corporation designs and we have an unsurpassed knowledge base.  We offer the largest range of hovercraft available in the world today and are better placed than anybody in the world to meet our customers' needs.

The Bland Group acquired the company in 2008, enabling investment in the latest thinking in lean manufacture, product development and after-sales service.  Our mission is to be the world leader in hovercraft design, manufacture and operation and provide our customers with a service that is second to none.

The company structure has been established to keep costs and overheads to a minimum and this is reflected in the prices of the craft.

Griffon Hoverwork Ltd has more than 150 hovercraft in service over 35 countries worldwide, ranging from the jungles of South America to the freezing conditions of the Arctic.  We have more hovercraft in operation with the military, paramilitary, commercial and rescue sectors that any other manufacturer.

In the commercial role, our hovercraft are used for passenger ferries, survey work, civil engineering support, mobile medical clinics, search and rescue and logistics.  The hovercraft are also in use by navy, army and paramilitary clients worldwide and their applications include coast guard patrol, amphibious assault, fast attack, mine counter measures, policing & customs, logistics, medical evacuation, crash rescue, and commando missions.

Our hovercraft are also operated by rescue services around the globe, from airport rescue and engineering support to ice rescue and mobile medical clinics.
