Taking place between March 27th - 29th the biennial event Inmex is the largest maritime exhibition in Vietnam and one of the most prominent in South East Asia. We will be attending the event in Ho Chi Minh City to demonstrate and talk to attendees about how hovercraft bring safety and security to the most inaccessible locations.
Our presence will be led by Marketing & Sales Director Nick MacLeod-Ash at the UK Pavilion stand (K03). Talking about the event and hovercraft in the region Nick has said:
"With the tragic increase in severe climate events hitting regional communities, our modern, rapidly deployable and cost-effective Air Cushion Vehicles offer a resilient means of distributing significant loads of aid relief and humanitarian support across floods, mud and debris. The vehicles provide mobile medical clinics, carriers for search drones and the means to rescue desperate civilians in the shortest time from the moment of need."
With the ever-growing threat of sea level rise, increasing extreme climactic events and changing geo-political relations within the region the benefits hovercraft can bring have never been more prominent. Varying sizes of Griffon Craft already operate in South East Asia from the Indian Coast Guard's 8000TD fleet, which have travelled as far as 142 nautical miles offshore to the Lakshadweep archipelago, to the Malaysian Marine Department's recent 995ED acquisition that provides a stable, mobile platform within the shallow waters and mangrove forests closer to base not easily accessible by boats.

Visit our stand at K03 to talk with us about how the applications of hovercraft are being used in the world today in search and rescue, border patrol, humanitarian aid and commercial passenger routes.
