All our hovercraft are sold with a level of in-country pilot and crew training. We have an experienced team of training personnel who provide training at our UK facility in Southampton, as well as in county-support on delivery of the hovercraft. Griffon Hoverwork is committed to offering the very best training for all our clients and we have a wide range of training options for customers to choose from.

 

Our training is flexible, customer focused and designed to enable clients to get the very best from their hovercraft. We can offer training that starts from basic seamanship skills through to training the trainer, as well as specialist training designed to complement our hovercraft courses, from sea survival to first aid.

Engineer Training

A correctly maintained craft means that you will get the very best from it, good maintenance means your hovercraft will achieve high availability rates. Hovercraft engineer training is also available in the UK or in-country, whether you have just taken delivery of your new hovercraft or you require refresher training courses for your engineers, Griffon Hoverwork will be able to assist.

Pilot and Crew Training

High quality pilot training is the key to operating hovercraft safely and effectively. We have put together a comprehensive package of pilot and crew training courses, which can include specialist training such as Sea Survival, First Aid at Sea and a number of Commander's courses. All training can be tailored to meet specific local legislation as required.

Hovercraft & Military Tactics Training

A course designed for military and para military organisations to teach them a range of scenario based operations such as covert operations, stop board and search, hovercraft in the special forces and counter terrorist roles. We have an experienced team of training personnel who provide training at our UK facility in Southampton, as well as in county-support on delivery of the hovercraft.

Search & Rescue Hovercraft Training

Griffon Hoverwork offers a range of specialist rescue training courses, to operators who have completed the pilot courses and gained sufficient experience for hovercraft operations. The courses are bespoke to the clients requirements and could include disciplines such as first aid, a commanders course, search and rescue navigation, and also covers differing rescue techniques, on terrains such as shallow water, mud and ice.
